Refund Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
BiasChecker.ai is owned and operated by Tautech B.V., Salland 1, 1948 RE Beverwijk, the Netherlands (KvK-nummer: 83747311). All purchases are made through Link, the merchant-of-record service operated by Stripe ("Stripe"). Stripe, through Link, is the seller of record for your purchase: it charges your payment method, handles applicable taxes, and processes refunds. Purchases appear on your card or bank statement as LINK.COM* BIASCHECKER.AI.
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (All Customers)
You can ask for your money back within fourteen (14) days of any purchase, without giving a reason. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom this is your statutory right of withdrawal; we extend the same terms to every customer, wherever you live, as a contractual promise. Because subscriptions and credit packs are made available to you immediately at your request, the refund may be reduced to reflect what you have already used:
- Subscription payment: a refund of the amount paid, less a proportionate deduction for the part of the billing period elapsed or the allowance consumed before you asked.
- Credit pack: a refund of the amount paid, less the value of any credits already spent.
If you have not used the Service since the purchase, you receive a full refund.
Credits are valued at what you paid for them, and what you have spent is counted against the credits you paid for first. So on a $25 pack of 5,000,000 credits, having used 2,000,000 of them, the deduction is $10 and the refund is $15. Bonus credits are not refundable. Extra credits we give you rather than sell you, such as a subscriber's bonus on a pack or a first-month bonus, have no cash value: they never increase a refund, and once you have used as many credits as you paid for there is nothing left to refund.
The same 14 days apply to every purchase, so there is only one window to keep track of. After it closes, a credit pack's remaining balance is no longer refundable, though the pack stays valid and spendable for three months from purchase. Your monthly subscription allowance is part of the plan price rather than something bought separately, so it is never refundable as a leftover balance; a recent subscription payment is covered by the 14 days above.
If an Analysis Is Not Usable
If an analysis comes back broken, empty, or plainly not about the article you submitted, tell us and we will put the tokens for it back into your account. Email contact@biaschecker.ai with the analysis in question. You do not need to make a case for it: we would rather re-credit an analysis than have you pay for output you cannot use.
Refunds Beyond the Above
Beyond the guarantees set out above, refunds are not guaranteed but may be granted at our reasonable discretion on a case-by-case basis, for example where a fault on our side prevented you from using the Service. Stripe, as the merchant of record, may also issue refunds in accordance with its own buyer policies.
How to Request a Refund
The fastest route is through the seller of record:
- Manage your order through your Link account at link.com, or via the link in your payment receipt. Link is the seller of record and processes refunds directly, so most requests are resolved this way without waiting on us.
- If that does not resolve it, or you prefer to deal with us directly, email us at contact@biaschecker.ai from the email address on your account, mentioning the purchase you would like refunded. Come to us directly for the tokens for an analysis that was not usable, since that is a credit back to your account rather than a refund of an order.
Refunds are processed by the merchant of record and returned to your original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
What Happens After a Refund
- Refunded subscription payment: the subscription is cancelled and paid access ends once the refund is issued.
- Refunded credit pack: the pack is closed and its credits are removed from your balance. Where the refund was reduced because you had already spent part of the pack, the whole pack still closes.
- Re-credited analysis: the tokens return to the balance they were taken from, and your monthly allowance or pack is restored by that amount.
Cancelling Rather Than Refunding
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard to stop future charges; it takes a few clicks and needs no contact with support (your Link account at link.com offers the same option). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you keep access until then, so cancelling on its own does not refund the period you have already paid for. If you want that payment back and it was made within the last 14 days, ask for a refund as described above instead. See our Terms of Service, Section 13 for full subscription and billing terms.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer under applicable law, including your rights under EU consumer protection law and the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
