How Credits Work
Use at your own pace
Credits don't reset monthly — they stay in your account until used or until they expire 3 months after purchase. Buy more than one pack and each expires on its own date.
Subscription runs first
Active subscribers get a monthly analysis allowance on top of any packs. Your subscription allowance is always spent first — your packs only kick in after it runs out.
Simple per-analysis pricing
One analysis on a standard (1×) model. Premium models count as more — a 10× model uses ten analyses' worth — and longer articles cost a little more, since there's more text to read. That's it: no token maths.
Community results: free for subscribers
Every web-article analysis is cached and shared — open the extension on an article someone has already analysed and the result loads instantly. Subscribers (and trial users) get cached results free; only pay-as-you-go users are charged for them. Text you paste in stays private to your account and is never shared.
Credit Packs FAQ
How is usage counted?
In tokens. A token is a small chunk of text a model reads or writes; we count the tokens of work an analysis uses — its actual input + output tokens, scaled by the model's multiplier. A standard (1×) analysis reads the article and writes up its findings — about 5,000 tokens for an average-length article, which is where “~5,000 tokens per analysis” comes from. Premium models multiply that (a 10× frontier model costs ~10× the tokens), and longer articles use more because they read more text. The Power pack is 5,000,000 tokens — about 1,000 standard-model analyses, or ~100 on a top tier. See the model tiers page for multipliers.
Why “≈” analyses, not an exact number?
Because an analysis's real cost depends on the article's length and the model you pick, so we charge the actual tokens used rather than a flat per-analysis fee. A flat fee would either be set low (and lose money on long, premium analyses) or set high (and overcharge you on short ones). Charging real usage is fairer and lets a short article on a fast model cost a fraction of a token-heavy one. The analysis counts we show are honest estimates from typical usage; the token numbers are exact. Since you only pay for the tokens each analysis actually uses, the same pack can stretch to more or fewer analyses than the number shown — and the estimate gets more accurate the longer you use BiasChecker.
Can I see an estimate based on my own usage?
Yes — sign in before buying and the per-pack “≈ analyses” figures update to your account's real usage. We blend the actual cost of the models and article lengths you typically analyse, so the estimate reflects how you actually use BiasChecker rather than the 1× baseline. Signed-in subscribers also see their bonus credits already applied to the totals.
Do credit packs expire?
Packs expire 3 months from the date of purchase. If you buy more than one, each expires on its own date, and the soonest-to-expire is spent first. Packs are used after your monthly plan allowance is exhausted.
Do subscribers get more for the same price?
Yes. While you have an active subscription, every credit pack you buy comes with bonus credits at no extra cost — Lite and Pro get +25%, and Premium gets +50%. For example, on Premium a Plus Pack gives you 3,750,000 tokens instead of 2,500,000, and a Power Pack 7,500,000 instead of 5,000,000. The bonus is applied automatically at checkout based on your plan at the time of purchase; packs bought without an active subscription get the base amount.
Can I use credit packs without a subscription?
Yes — credit packs are the same price for everyone, but subscribers get more for it: an active subscription adds 25% bonus credits to every pack. As a pay-as-you-go user (no subscription) you buy packs at the base amount, you're charged for every analysis — including cached community results, which cost a flat one-analysis fee (~5,000 tokens × the model's tier) — and you don't get a monthly quota. For regular use, a Lite subscription ($8/mo) adds ~600 monthly analyses, free cached results, and the 25% pack bonus.
What is your refund policy?
